Built by an operator who runs one.
Licensed to operators who want to grow.
SP Photo Station is the software stack that powers Souvenir Photograph's venue operations. Now licensed to photographers and venues who want to run theirs.
Why this software exists
The team behind SP Photo Station has been operating in-venue souvenir photography since 2010 — across theme parks, malls, zoos, aquariums, road races, and seasonal Santa / Easter villages. Over those years we built every line of software we sell here, originally as the operations handbook for our own venues.
By the time the platform was running multi-state race photography + a flagship 50,000-guest seasonal village + a spread of museum and aquarium photo ops, the question kept coming up: why is everyone else still buying photo- studio software for venue operations?
Photo-studio software assumes a fixed location with a small team. Venue operations are nothing like that — they're roaming photographers across 50,000 sq ft, queue-line sets that change with the season, finish lines a thousand miles from your home office. The operations handbook a venue operator needs looks more like an ERP system than a photo studio app.
So in late 2025 we started cleaning the internal stack for external use. SP Photo Station 1.0 is the result — the same software our own team runs, with the operational rough edges smoothed off and a buyer-friendly licensing model wrapped around it.
Sibling brands
The parent business runs three consumer-facing brands, each serving guests of a specific venue type. SP Photo Station (this site) is the platform powering them — now sold to others to power their own.
Guest photo retrieval portal for parks and event venues we operate. The customer-facing side of the same platform powering this site. spphotostation.com →
Race participant photo retrieval. Finishers at 5Ks, mud runs, marathons get their photos by SMS before they leave the venue.
Seasonal Santa & Easter Bunny photography consumer brand. 40+ venues during peak season, flagship at 50,000 guests / season.
How we build
Built first, then sold
Every feature ran in our own operations before it shipped to customers. The capture pipeline, the gallery delivery, the face recognition, the print fulfillment — they were all answers to problems we hit running our own venues.
Delivery speed is the metric
Attach rate is everything. The faster a guest gets their photo, the more they buy and the more they share. We measure ourselves on shutter-to-gallery latency relentlessly.
Compliance built in, not bolted on
BIPA, COPPA, CAN-SPAM, GDPR, Quebec Law 25 — designed into the data layer with per-venue gates and operator- controlled toggles. Not a marketing claim, a code path.
We answer the phone
Founder + ops lead respond to first inquiries personally. At our size we want to know every operator running on this stack — not just the logos on a customer page.
Industry memberships
We're members of the trade organizations that run the venues we serve — so when the rules change, we hear it first and the platform absorbs it before our customers have to think about it.
Where we're heading
The 2026 roadmap is dense — AI Highlight Reel (30-second auto-edited memory videos delivered before the guest leaves the venue), expanded face recognition compliance posture across more jurisdictions, deeper multi-venue franchise tooling. We share the roadmap with customers in roadmap calls every quarter; the agenda starts with whatever blocked them last month.
If you've read this far and you're considering running a venue operation — or trying to grow one — the next step is a conversation. Not a sales pitch. We want to know what you run.
