Common questions

What counts as one "key"?
One key activates one station. A station is a capture workstation — usually a desktop running our capture software paired with a DSLR. If you run three photographer stations at a venue, you need three keys. If you run twenty stations across five venues, you need twenty keys.
What does the 14-day trial include?
Everything in the core platform, no feature gating. You get to run real events with real guests. The license fee only kicks in if you keep the key active past day 14. Add-ons (face recognition, etc.) are opt-in during the trial so you can decide whether to keep paying for them before they show up on your invoice.
Is the 15% revenue share on all sales, or just digital?
15% applies to every online order processed through SP Photo Station — digital downloads and print orders that ship from our integrated lab. On-location print sales processed through your own POS aren't counted; in-person card-present payments via the included Stripe Terminal integration are.
Is the $499 a recurring subscription?
No. The $499 is a one-time license purchase per key. The ongoing fee is the $99/year/key maintenance — which covers software updates, hosting for your galleries, and customer support. Cancel maintenance and you keep the software you have, but you stop getting updates and hosted gallery access.
What happens to my data if I stop paying maintenance?
We hold your gallery archives for 90 days while you decide. Within that window you can either resume maintenance, export your full archive, or both. After 90 days inactive, archives are deleted per our retention policy.
Do you offer seasonal pricing for Santa / Easter venues?
Yes — talk to sales. We have customers running 3-month Santa villages on per-season terms instead of paying year-round maintenance. The model is custom and tied to the venue's actual operating dates.
How do you handle multi-venue franchises?
Each venue location is configured separately in the control panel, with its own staff, equipment, branding, and reporting. Pricing scales with the number of active keys regardless of how many physical venues they're spread across.
